Bible Verse for Sunday Service November 28, 2021
Psalm 100:4-5
Enter his gates with thanksgiving,
and his courts with praise!
Give thanks to him; bless his name!
For the Lord is good;
his steadfast love endures forever,
and his faithfulness to all generations.
Announcements:
A request for prayer by our sponsored missionaries with Wycliff, the Runias, was Steve’s most important announcement. So important, it featured here and in the prayer requests. Let’s support them by appealing to the God of Universe to help with this online training for African students, Nov 29 -> Dec 10. Besides this concern, we heard about the Ladies Christmas Brunch this Saturday at 11AM. Other upcoming events are a Deacon’s meeting on Dec 9 to consider officers for the upcoming election, and the Children’s Christmas Special Dec 12. Bells are planned, along with a few songs.
Sermon:
Pastor concluded his study in Colossians, covering Col 4:14-18, where Paul recognized and thanked fellow members in Christ for their help, and work to advance the Kingdom. In covering this material, Pastor used it to help us see Paul’s instructions on the importance of the local church – that we continue to meet together to help one another, and the essential gift for us, grace.
