Micah 7:7
But as for me, I will look to the Lord;
I will wait for the God of my salvation;
my God will hear me.
Pastor did the announcements today. An impromptu deacons meeting was scheduled after church. After next week’s service, the church will have a pot luck and a business meeting. Shepherd Bible Church (SBC) continues to solicit donations for the Operation Christmas Child.
For the message, Pastor continued his study in Colossians, 3:1-4. He titled the sermon “Having a Heavenly Focus,” and reminded us that we must first seek the Kingdom of God (Matthew 6:39). Having such a focus on Christ, and accessing His power in our lives through His Kingdom, helps live our lives here on earth. The spirit of Pastor’s message was perfectly captured in the quote from Corrie Ten Boom: “If you look at the world, you’ll be distressed. If you look within, you’ll be depressed. If you look at God you’ll be at rest.”
